A Brilliant Idea

It was Friday night, and I was just about to leave work, when i got a brilliant idea! I'm talking mind blowing, pigs flying, brilliant! .. well in my head it was. You see i have this wall. This wall in my "dining area" that was the epitome of plain and boring, and if you know me, you know plain and boring kills my inner designing soul! but for those who don't, lemme esplain (ricky ricardo style). I am an interior designer by day, and photographer by night--well, by weekend really. Alllllllll day long I stare--more like drool-- over beautiful furniture, finishes, accessories, lighting--all things that are like candy to me. Sweet, sugary and addicting! I love all things design, so to have a wall so boring and plain was really like a thorn in my thigh. So back to my brilliant idea. I have no clue what really inspired it, i suppose it could have been the super sweet baroque style frame from ikea, or the gorgeous giant teal vase from tjmaax.. Really, it could have been anything, but none-the-less. I was inspired! So I called Jerod and said "we're painting tonight!" Normally he would have fought against my ideas, or at least given his two cents, espcially since, as you will see, my brilliant idea was a little on the girly side. But for some reason, there was no fight--like nothing. I got an "ok". and that was it. So we fly over to homedepot, pick out a paint, put on some music, and go to town, and to my delight, it turned out AWESOME! See below my beautiful frame/collage wall. We filled it with architectural/vacation pics we've taken, and i LOVE it! It's rare that my brilliant ideas actually turn out as brilliant as i had imagined in my mind--but this, this was perfection. Oh, and please ignore ugly off centered fan light. It's next on my list to get the boot ;)
